Scott's 8yr Birthday

A quick layout of Scott's 8th birthday (4 yrs ago). It feels good to get some older photos scrapped. For inspiration I used an ad challenge from Mix It Up. It was an Andy Warhol painting of LifeSavers with lots of circles & fun colors. I added the blue to "boy-it-up" I also used a sketch from 52 sketches, 52 weeks

let's Fly away

Some pictures of the kids on the flight down to DisneyWorld. They were pretty darn excited. I used the challenge from Scrapping Out Loud to tear paper, and I also used their sketch for this week (which I loved). I also was able to use 5 patterned papers each from different manufacturers, which was a challenge at Method Playground, a challenge site I just found yesterday.

Straight Hair

A layout for the challenge at Scrapping Out Loud. This was a simple layout that came together quickly using their sketch. This week's challenge was to use 2 or more types of lace on a layout. I managed to use 3 kinds and was inspired by their examples and created some lace flowers - pretty simple! This was the first time Nicole had her hair straigtened and she LOVED it. She wanted me to take more and more photos!!

Disney-Magic Kingdom Castle

The first of many Disney pages! I saw this sketch at Scrapping out LOUD and new exactly which photos I wanted to use with it. The challenge was to do a layout about something amazing. Seeing the Castle is definitley an amazing and magical sight!

Caught You!!

This is my little 'angel' chewing her toenails!!! What a child. We had just posed for some nice photos with Great Grandma and then I see her (in her nice little dress) doing this. I just found a new site, 52 sketches-52 weeks. I love sketches and used this week's for this layout.

PaperTrey sketch

Another PaperTrey challenge, this time a sketch.

Quick Thanks

I needed a quick thank you card so decided to use the Paper Trey Color Challenge here.
I created the bottom using a border stamp and the four colors of the challenge, added the ribbon and quick sentiment. The card took about 5 min! I loved the color combo and will definitely use it again.

Oilers page for Connor

I decided to squeeze in some time to scrap this morning. These were some pics from our boys first NHL game in 2006. I used two challenges to come up with this. The first challenge from SBCH was to sand your photos, and the 2nd from Scrapping Out Loud, to use some old supplies. I also used a sketch from them as well.
